Famous New Orleans rapper, known as Flow, who was once signed to Lil Wayne’s Young Money record label, has been sentenced to life in prison. Flow has been found guilty for the 2015 double murder of his brothers Kendred and Kendrick Bishop.
On the 25th of May 2015, the bodies of Kendrick, 22, and Kendred Bishop, 18, were found in a car in New Orleans’ East Side. The pair had been shot inside a black Kia vehicle.
Flow was sentenced on Tuesday to life imprisonment by the Criminal District Judge “Tracey Flemings-Davillier”. The rapper was sentenced without the benefit of parole on each of the second-degree murder charges, and to 30 years in prison for conspiracy to commit murder.
Judge Tracey also sentenced Flow to 40 years imprisonment for obstruction of justice, and 30 years for conspiracy to obstruct justice.
The prosecutors say that Flow, who is aged 27, killed the brothers in retaliation to an assumption that they stole $8,000 and two guns from his girlfriend’s car a week earlier.
During the hearing, Assistant District Attorney Irena Zajickova read a statement on behalf of the victims’ mother, Sherry Strauss, who said her children “were our heart, until you ripped that away from us. Maybe your parents didn’t love you enough like you wanted, but our boys were well-loved, and you knew it.”
